Did you know, some sea anemone can regenerate from a severed body part? Interestingly, sea anemones have immobilizing stingers, opportunistic boxer crabs and pom-pom crabs will carry them around for extra protection. Mutually, the sea anemones swipe up food as the boxer crab walks, but here's the kicker, if an anemone falls off one claw the crab will cut the other one in half! From the severed limbs some sea anemone will regenerating a new individual, and the crab will have protection for both claws again. Sea anemone have been known to survive for decades, even up to 80 years in captivity.
